Application:
The New Focus Polarization Beam Combiner/Splitter has been optimized for pump combining in advanced Raman amplifiers and high power EDFAs.
The devices result in efficient combining of the output from two high power pump lasers and low polarization dependent gain from the amplifier.
These combiners feature wide range wavelength operation from 1400nm to 1500nm so that a single part can be used for a variety of pump wavelengths. For polarization splitting applications, these devices deliver a high extinction ratio along with low excess loss.
